Hey all.
I have to replace my ATX motherboard to a Micro ATX due to moving
To a smaller case. I currently have a Gigabyte GA-Z270-HD3P motherboard
With an i5 7600K CPU, G.Skill 8GB DDR4 RAM, and a GTX1070TI GPU.

I didn't ever feel a need to OC my CPU and nor add another GPU.
My PC is actually a HTPC that I use mostly for living room gaming and home theatre,
Nothing too fancy or complicated. Will there be any performance differences if I'll
Switch a B250 chipset motherboard ?

Solution
Well, you should be fine if you are just running on default clock speeds. Not much difference between the two except a couple of PCIe lanes, which might not matter in your case.
To be honest I'm not really into overclocking.
I was gaming with consoles for years (currently own a PS4) but decided to build a descent rig
A couple of months ago. I'm the kind of person that will probably prefer to buy new components
In a few years and sell the old ones when my i5 7600K and GTX 1070TI will start getting old.

I just saw that Micro ATX motherboards with Z270 chipsets are not cheap comparing to B250 ones
And started wondering whether it is worth the money considering I'll probably won't OC.
