Z370 Aorus Ultra gaming not detecting M.2 SSD

Hi guys,


I bought a Samsung EVO 860 SATA M.2 SSD 500 GB and it did not appear on BIOS nor partition manager in Win10. Can anyone enlighten me on how to troubleshoot this?

Here are some infos that might be useful...
- I have a KLEVV SATA M.2 SSD 120GB installed on a PCIe x4/x2 slot.( i think it is in between 2 graphics card )
- WD black 1TB connected( I tried disconnecting it but it doesnt work still )
- display card - GTX 1070 TI

yes i did and it is able to detect in bios. its only the M2Q is not working...

The M2Q is PCIe only. SATA not supported (check the specs in the board's manual).

aww what a bummer, thanks for your help though! May I know is there a way to migrate or move my current windows OS(from KLEVV M.2 SSD) to the new SSD?

No problem.
There are migration tools (https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/download/tools/),
but I would reinstall.
