[SOLVED] Z370 gaming plus cheap cpu

I got a Z370 gaming plus and a i5- 9600kf cpu that I wanted to pair with that.
Now that won't go until I update my bios.
So q is: what is the cheapest cpu to buy to get into bios? Maybe with graphics?
My pc just wont start with the 9600kf in it, fan and lights come on for half a second, then dead until I press the on button again. (The led light for CPU missing/not detected is also lit for half a sec).

You could plonk in any 8th Generation Intel Core i processor in there without any regards for a BIOS update. You can refer to this CPU support list. If we're to assume you only have BIOS version 7B61v10, which came from the factory during the board's launch they any 8th Gen Intel processor.

Have you checked to see if there are any bent or broken pins on the CPU's socket? What are the rest of the specs to your build?

The cheapest to get would probably be 8th pentium, i3 or celeron… or the motherboard itself ))

you can pick up a i3-8100 on ebay for $100 or a celeron g4900 for around $90. or ask anyone you know to barrow a 8th gen cpu. Could even take it to a local shop and have them update the bios for you.

My gods, I just realized that the cpu in my z370 was a g4560 - and that does not computer at all🤩
Thanks for your input, the 9600kf is up and running.

I am now taking the walk if shame right out of here😒🤪

Note to self: check eyes and/or get New glasses.
