[SOLVED] Z370 vs z390 Mobo for i9 9900k

Hello ,

So I've recently been looking at upgrading my CPU to the i9 9900k. I'm using the MSI Z370 - A Pro motherboard. I've heard that having a z390 motherboard could get the full potential from the said cpu in some cases.

But would it be worth me upgrading from my current motherboard?

Your current motherboards VRM’s are too weak to properly run a 9900k. Z370 vs Z390 doesn’t matter much, the key is using a high end version with quality VRM’s. What cooler are you going use?

Thanks, I haven't chosen a cooler yet but I know I'm going for an air cooler. I don't want anything too fancy just something that performs well is reliable and has a good price so any recommendations would be appreciated 👍
