Question Z390 Aorus Elite BIOS update from F6 > F8 performance drop

Hello.

Recently bought new MOBO, since old MSI z370m died... After a complete fresh install of Win10, did a quick Cinebench R20 test getting ~2300 score with my i5 8600k. This was on F6 bios version. Updated to F8 and now topping with 1950-2000. Same setup, no OC settings at all, except enabled XMP profile for DDR.

Any ideas? Is there a way to get same 2300-ish with F8 BIOS version?

Ok, got an answer from Gigabyte support:

Intel has updated CPU microcode with fixed vulnerabilities. Please, contact Intel for details.

So, just FIY, be aware of performance drop due to Intel's security fixes.
