Z390 CPU power

I just got an Aorus z390 mobo and it have a extra 2x2 12v along with 4x4 12v CPU power port. BUT my PSU is CM G650m and it only have 4x4 single cable. What to do ? will i need a new PSU ? :/

I remember my older x99 board had the same thing and in the manual it said that hooking it up was optional and you only needed it if you were using SLI or power intensive hardware. Maybe contact their support and see if its needed?

Not sure if it's the same concept with the z390 boards... Although I suspect it is probably for extreme overclocking.

I looked at my motherboards bios yesterday and the only pre-programmed OC profile in there was labeled "LN OC Profile" and was set to 1.65V vcore lol, so maybe it's there for "those" situations.

Read your motherboard manual.
Usually it will say that the extra ATX power is only needed for heavy overclocking or fully populated pcie x16 slots.

The wattage you need is primarily determined by your graphics configuration.
