Z87 Sabertooth Board

Just received my Z87 board today with my cpu i5-4690k. Now on my motherboard packaged it has this sticker that has 2004. I am thinking that is the bios that this mother come with. Should i put in my cpu and see if it work? What are you guys thought on this.

Update to the latest BIOS just in case. But you could just put it and test if you choose to do so.
Your motherboard supports the USB BIOS Flashback feature. So you can update the bios without the cpu or ram installed. You just need the 24 pin power cable connected and the USB containing the new BIOS version.
