z97 PCI-e lanes

Hi was not sure where to stick this thread but here goes. i have a Asus Z97 Pro Gamer motherboard and at present have a GTX 970 and a SM951 256GB NVMe drive on a Asus add-in card installed. i am wanting to add more strorage to the system
by adding a Intel 600p NVMe drive with another asus add in card. now from what i gather that will mean that i have taken up all the PCIe 3.0 lanes ( GTX-8x sm951-4x intell 600p-4x). if thats the case will that mean that i can't use the remaining sata ports for adding anything else, or does that run off the chipset separately? bit confussed if thats correct or not hope you can help

SATA are ran through chipset.
