[SOLVED] Z97X Gaming 5 supports Windows 11?

Solution
you missed a 0, I think its in millions

there are people running win 10 on PC from last 15 years so thats a lot of PC that would miss out if it stays as is.

win 10 designed to get all users of 7 & 8 to update to 1 os, easier to update then. Win 11 could be them breaking from 15 years of old pc, as it will happen eventually, they can't support hardware the makers don't

Add in the people who wanted to upgrade over the last year, but due to prices and availability, are still on older systems.

I don't think Microsoft understands the severity of the hardware shortages, and how much scalpers have been charging for new gear over the last year, and how it has been slowing the adoption of new technologies. They also don't understand how the slow pace of performance upgrades in the Intel CPU's, especially the i7, has slowed upgrade rates. The game performance differences between a Core i7-3770, 4770, 6700, and 7700 are not that great. There wasn't a lot of incentive to upgrade during that time. Just look at the large numbers of people who post here looking for help with their 3rd-7th gen systems. There are still a lot of them out there that won't be able to upgrade to 11, if Microsoft holds to their minimum system requirements. They are going to fracture the Windows user base to those who can upgrade to 11 and those stuck on 10 or older.
