I was wondering what the difference is between the AMP Extreme and the AMP Extreme Core Edition. Searching around shows with the 9 series cards the Core Edition was the faster card. Doing a comparison of the AMP Extreme and AMP Extreme Core Edition of the 1080 ti's shows the Core Edition having lower clock speeds. On par with the Aorus non Extreme version. Is this a typo on Newegg or is the Core Edition of the 1080 ti's actually not the faster card this generation? On Newegg the Core Edition is more expensive but showing lower clock speeds.

Thanks

From what i can see while comparing the two versions of the 1080ti i cant find any advantage to choose the core edition over the AMP Extreme . I dont think there is something that we are missing about the core edition. All the info are on zotac webpage.

Its not a typo. Checking on zotac website provides the same information , core edition is clocked lower than the AMP Extreme. Cant find any difference between the two editions to justify the higher price for lower clocked card.

I know, and it's still marketed as "AMP Extreme" but then they add "Core Edition" at the end. I would just think a lower clocked version of this line would just be "AMP"..lol. Just seems to throw off the normal naming convention. I really like the card. Deciding between that and the GB Aorus Extreme. Just want to know if there is any benefit to the Core Edition version of the AMP Extreme.
