I just had my fiber internet installed. But I'm stucked with the ZTE F660 from the internet provider since it also acts as an optical transceiver, so I have to use it as the main router. To cover my entire house, I have to use my D-Link 880L (they are wired together) and it acts as secondary wireless router (or access point? I dont know). I turn off DHCP on 880L

My question is that:
Will it affect my network performance? Or 880L will only communicate with F660 for internet signal?
Will my ac-standard devices (which connect to 880L) get ac-speed in LAN, or it will be decreased to F660 N-speed? (In other word, if I connect all my devices to 880L, which one will do the LAN job? I have no clue how to describe it)

I know most of these things can be googled, but I'm out of time since I'm about to move house and dont have much time to do research. Thanks for reading

How fast is the wired link between the two APs? That will be the max speed that you are able to transfer data until you exit the F660. At that point, you actualy drop down to whatever speed server you are buying.

Basically, you will have the blazing speed of AC until you hit the 880L then it will slow to link speed between the 880L and F660. It will slow again once it passes through the F660 to the internet.
