Hello

I have the problem that my roommate use all the bandwidth for streaming series etc., which is a huge problem for me as it does not allow me to play FPS games meanwhile.
I would like to prioritize my computer highest or limit the maximum bandwidth that he can use.
How do I do this with a Zyxel P-2601HN-F1?

I tried to add my gaming computer by its MAC address, but I really dont understand the settings.

I checked the manual, but sadly it is a bit too complicated for a noob like me..

They put all this fancy stuff in and have a huge section in the manual but the neglect to tell you it is mostly a big marketing scam. Even as advanced as it is it is still not good enough to even use some of the trick that might help.

This router only has the ability to affect UPLOAD traffic and you likely are having issues with DOWNLOAD traffic. On top of this anything related to DSCP packet marking etc is completely removed by the ISP as soon as they get the packets so why even put this in a device that is pretty much only used on a internet connection.

Still even if you had a router that could limit download traffic it does not work all that well. The ISP is in control of what is sent to your house. When the connection is full they will decide what to discard. There is not a lot your router can do , its not like it can recreate the discarded data and discard something else.
