So if you encounter a car that starts the alarm, run away from there as soon as you can and find some other car. Also, trucks are a good resource for the metal as well. So you can harvest them and get good amount of metal.
Collecting Metal Fast:
When it comes to collecting the metal, you can literally collect at the speed of 2x. This is true and a lot of players do that. It is not a hack as this feature is present in the game. What you need to do is when you hit a car or a truck, you will see a blue circle near the place you hit. That circle is called a critical point. What you need to do is to hit that critical point and it will double the amount of material you are getting from that structure. It is a really effective way to collect the material faster.
Use for Endgame
Granted that metal should not be used when you are in combat as it builds very slowly and has low minimum health. That means it will not hold longer during a combat. But, once a metallic structure is completely built, it will be much stronger than wood or the stone. This is the reason that you should use metal when you are building your end game bases. It will hold much longer and will even bear the damage of a rocket. But, only build a metallic base in the end game if you see there are no enemies nearby to fire on your base as it will need some time to become strong.
