I did, still didn't turn on . And I actually used my brother's gpu to test if the motherboard is fine and I even used the same power cables as I did for my own gpu and the conputer turned on just fine. Is my gpu fried? And shouldnt the computer turn on anyway?

as it turns out the issue was the windows 7 theme , I usually have the system running with best performance rather than best appearance for gaming so changing it back to best appearance under advanced system settings>performance settings solved the issue .
