Judge how much this system is worth

Hey there, I was looking to buy a system second-hand, with inspection of course. Of course when buying used you not only take a risk, but the money saved could possibly be very substantial. I looked around and found a nice build, and after inquiring about it here's what I've been able to get...

    Upgrade Help Please!

You've got a great system there. Not much more you can do without spending a pretty penny. If you're looking for more graphics horsepower, you could add in another 770 if your Power Supply is of a good quality and can handle the extra load. You could upgrade the RAM, but that depends on what...

Can I get a Build Review

Pretty good all around for gaming. For the best performance however, go with a lower-end CPU and pair it with a stronger GPU. If you're doing any sort of visuals or graphics, what you got should be sufficient, and if you need more take out of the GPU and put more into the CPU.

What's the bottleneck of my computer setup? (Need to know what to buy if i need to)

Honestly the only thing that looks to be holding you back in that system would be the CPU, but I also have a first-generation CPU, (i5 650) and I don't get any performance stutters in streaming and all. I also game 1080p on Ultra/High, with no problem. Maybe it's airflow and overheating? Check...

    need ram, mobo and cpu.

In your price bracket, you would really want an AMD CPU. Look for a possible 6300 or 8320, paired with a nice Noctua cooler and an ASUS board, and you should be set. Also 8GB of RAM, 2x4 should be good. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core...

    Budget Gaming PC Help

For $550 the i5 4460 isn't worth it, because you should invest in a cheaper CPU for more GPU power. The performance in games will go up majorly. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($109.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M LX...

    Help Overclocking Clarkdale i5

I have an i5 650 at 3.2GHz, and it technically is only a little bit worse than an Ivy Bridge i3. Why I say technically is because people have said that these chips overclock great, but the problem is I've never looking into overclocking, and the farthest I've gone is "Intel Turbo Boost" and...

How long with the i5 last me?

Easily 10 years, but I upgrade around every 4 years. You can't really put a time frame on it because we will never know the process and speed of the advancement of technology. Maybe tomorrow some scientist finds a way to mine 60,000,000 bitcoin but he will need 5x 4960X's? Same with games too...

Differences between GTX 780 Ti variations

Just looking for a "casual" gaming rig, any of those cards will do, but go with the cheapest one that isn't reference. The Classified edition is for overclocking and such, so if you're into that you can buy that. The names at the end are usually just custom coolers/addons to the card...

    Is 500 watt psu enough?

The CX500 will provide you the power you require, but it isn't the most reliable supply you can buy. Feel free and overclock though, you should have decent headroom.

Max $1500 gaming build, need graphics help

Well for a single monitor, 1080p display people would say that a 770 would suffice, and it does, but not for long. It just holds 60 frames in BF4 on Ultra presets, so in terms of "futureproofing" you have a better chance with something like a R9 290. If you're looking for that sweetspot, that...
