Derek, after deleting it went to Partition 0, should I create partition 1 so I can see my drives? I coudn't open "computer" to see my drives.

ok...another problem. The OS is working but I can't get "my computer" to open up to see my drives. It keeps telling me that windows explorer will restart but doesn't. If it's not one thing it's another. Anyone came across this problem after windows 7 install?

No. I actually bought a new mobo and installed windows 7 on it. As i mentioned earlier, it worked the first time around with no problems until i hooked up a fan to the HD and upgraded the the memory from 2gb to 4gb. The windows 7 cd is for refurbished pc.

Before I delete, everytime it tells me to pick a partition to install windows 7, it is giving me a prtition 0 w/ 100mb and partition 1 with the hard drive capacity. I formatted partition 1 and had it installed there. I guess you were suggwsting to delete partition 1, correct? what happens to...

Will the graphics card I purchased, PowerColor Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 64-bit, work in my motherboard that's 32-bit? I am not sure if it's backwards compatible. Thanks.

Vertical lines went away after about 10 mins. with the power down. It looks like windows found the error and corrected it. Now it's back to normal...whew!!!

I switched monitors and it was the same. I also have an XP OS.

I have an IDE intel d845pt P4 board. I installed an AGP GC with 64mb. The DVD Rom is an IDE. What else do you need to solve my dilemma?
