Unfortunately not the case. Hwmonitor, hwinfo, afterburner, and the bios are all reading this. Hwinfo shows it being like this on all cpu sensors; package, cores, peci
My thoughts too, already tried llc 4 with basically the same results. Also tried undervolting it which helped with overall temps but core 1 still ran much hotter. could my psu contribute to this? it's a bit <Mod Edit>; coolermaster bronze mwe 550. don't think this would play a part in heat but...
Core 1 has hit 100 several times, while the others are around maybe 65, so according to hwinfo, so package has also hit 100. When playing cpu intensive games like rainbow six, it will easily stay in the 90s while hitting 100 every couple seconds, triggering throttling according to hwinfo.
Hiya, recently installed a z270 pro4 and a 6700k. Found that it ran okay, but would do awful in some games, so I decided to check temps/becnhmark it. Found that core 1 is running much hotter than the other cores and I have no idea why. I've already reseated my aio with different thermal pastes...
Recently installed motherboard w/ cpu into my build, ran fine upon first boot, but after an hour of setup I decided to check temps/benchmark it, only to find that under load core 1 was up to ~35° hotter than every other, bringing up overall cpu temp in HWinfo. In the Bios, idles at 50°, and...
For some reason, specific games just run like absolute garbage on my computer for what seems like no reason. For example, in Minecraft I get a pretty unstable ~30 fps on low setting w/ optifine, yet on Rainbow Six Siege I get 120 fps on very high and 1080p. I have a hunch that it may be my CPU...
I recently purchased an RX 580 8gb, specifically the asus model. I installed it to find it was wildly underperforming. Lower frames than what it should be outputting, as well as stuttering. I reinstalled the drivers, but the problem persisted. I also attempted resetting my pc, still, same...

Well I'm in New Zealand, plenty of good tech stores both online and physical. The PSU I am looking at is secondhand, hence my budget is reasonably low. I have 70 NZD, including shipping. This works out to be about 50 USD. I don't mind buying from elsewhere as long as shipping isn't a lot.
Planning on upgrading my graphics card, but first I need a better PSU, as I have a random 350w one that I can't find the brand of without taking it out of my PC. I plan on buying a 1060 6gb. Here is my current system(I know it is old and bad):
i7 2600(non-k)
16 gb of DDR3, 1333mhz
GTX 550 ti(now...
