Hmm, that sounds strange. I have not encountered this issue before. Have you switched tried switching slots for the NVME drive and a different SAT cable for the HDD? Are you using the new PSU cables or your previous ones?

Sometimes we wish that PC's just displayed what the error is whenever it fails, but unfortunately we do not have that level of technology yet. I feel your pain, give the PSU a shot. You are right in saying that you do not have to get drivers, but perhaps try DDU and see if that fixes anything...

Supported is different from Ready. The B350 platform requires a BIOS update before putting in a Ryzen 3rd Gen processor. You need to find someone you can borrow a Ryzen 1st Gen or 2nd Gen processor from to do the BIOS update first.

Give the new PSU a shot. But before doing so, just check all your connections are fine, or try substitute PCIe cables or a different PCIe lane for your GPU.

Try your system with the single 8 GB stick and see if the issue persists. An 8 GB stick with a 2 GB stick is just not a good idea generally, but I am not too sure if it can cause a system reboot.

Ah okay, just that your wording implied that only the MAX series is compatible, so I thought I would clear it up in case.

All B450 mobos are compatible with the Ryzen 3000 series, albeit some of them may need a BIOS update to be compatible with the processors depending on when they left the factory. But, you are right, the MAX series of mobos should be compatible out of the box. @op what is your budget?

What are your full system specs? When going through the doors, was it graphically more intense? Mixing RAM sticks is generally a no-no but this also sounds like a PSU issue.
