    I experienced a similar issue too once where the connection works initially but suddenly drops to a crawl. I fixed it by enabling dhcp in mobile internet sharing settings. Also, set your network adapter (in pc) to auto obtain ip. I hope it helps

    You could try these: 1. Insert the NIC on a different PCI slot. 2. Disable onboard network adapter if there is one to prevent conflicts from BIOS. 3. Uninstall the present drivers and let windows update search the best drivers 4. Check jumpers and connectors
