Could be a CPU voltage regulator on your mobo, or yes, the CPU itself. I'm guessing you don't have a spare CPU or mobo of the same socket type lying around?

Voltage is located towards the bottom of the OC menu in the UEFI. The only voltage you need to be concerned with is CPU Core Voltage. DO NOT EXCEED 1.3v. You should be in the range of 1.1-1.23 for a safe overclock temp-wise.

Decided to back down to 4.5ghz, and think I found a sweet spot at 1.2v. Still pushing 80c during some MSI benchmark test, 75c during stress test. I wonder what I need to do to get this h100i running a little more efficiently... I don't feel like 1.2v could tax my old 212.

70 max while stress testing gives you a little overhead to raise voltages. 75-80 on the stress test will mean gaming and other real-world usage will max it out at about 65-70C.

Good temps. Plenty of overhead. CPUs can heat up almost instantly.
