The motherboard displays the indicator for VGA and it remains there, does not go to boot.

The battery seems to be attached to motherboard with some tape and not in a socket. How should I remove it without damaging it?

Hi, I tried on my ASUS VS247 monitor, but also tried on my HDTV's with same result. I also tried booting with one stick of ram with same result. Not sure what you mean by clearing CMOS. I apologize, I'm new at this :(. I have not tried booting without hard drives attached yet.
