Question Windows 10 keeps installing the same PowerA Xbox One Controller on every reboot causing devices to pile up!!!

10 months ago I had a problem with Windows 10 reinstalling the same gamepad driver on and on with the PowerA Xbox One Enhanced Green Hint Controller. I could not solve the problem and I decided to return it for a full refund as the controller wasn't clear on PC support. Anyway, a couple of days...

Question AOC Q27G2S 165Hz fails to do 10-bit colour and HDR not recognized by Windows 10!

Many thanks. Indeed, there's no DisplayPort 1.4 Support, so that is the reason HDR cannot be enabled and no 10-bit with 165Hz. I have found this link https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/what-graphics-card-hdr-pc-games-3 "The good news is that all of Nvidia's GeForce GTX 900, 10-series and new...

Question AOC Q27G2S 165Hz fails to do 10-bit colour and HDR not recognized by Windows 10!

Many thanks. But there's some conflicting information. I found https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/gigabyte-gtx-960-windforce-2x-oc.b3168 It says it has DisplayPort 1.4a. Is this wrong information? Also why would HDMI cable allow me to enable HDR but I cannot with the DisplayPort cable...

Question AOC Q27G2S 165Hz fails to do 10-bit colour and HDR not recognized by Windows 10!

Ok fair enough. But why does HDR option not work? I've just made an experiment by plugging in a HDMI cable and the Play HDR games and apps instantly allowed me to turn it on! This time I have HDR enabled with HDMI cable. This gives me 8 bit + dithering with 144Hz. But of-course I can't get...

    [SOLVED] Component Package Support Server

Hello, Yes, Component Package Support Server is a legitimate file under Windows 10 since 1809 update. For a long time I was wondering what triggers this to run in the background. I found out that using a Chromium Web Browser+ Facebook or YouTube immediately triggers CompPkgSrv.exe to run in...

[SOLVED] New generic gamepad controller moving in 8-way directions instead of 360 degree movement!

I just bought my Natec Genesis P58 Gamepad controller from Amazon UK to use it for my PC. Unfortunately this gamepad controller is not good! The movement of analogue stick is not in 360 degrees when I check the calibration settings in control panel! The + sign is moving in 8-way directional...

I am looking to buy a new gaming mouse to upgrade from my 8 year old Logitech G500. Up until now I knew about Polling Rate where most gaming mice range from 500hz to 1000hz. But there's this mouse I just took a look at out of interest. GranVela M9 Gaming Mouse Granvela M9 it says it has...

CPU Stress Test at 100% appears as only 87% CPU Usage in Task Manager! Is this normal?

I tested My Quad Core Q8400 2.66 GHz with Prime95. Everything goes to 100% as indicated by RealTemp. But when I check my Task Manager it shows at 87% instead of 100%! What is the reason for this? This is stock speed. I even reseated the cooler, cleaned dust and reapplied fresh thermal paste. I...

AMD FX-8370 + Be Quiet! Pure Rock. Temps exceeding 60 degrees Celsius in 2 minutes stress testing. Is this normal?

These are core temps. Well there is some positive news. Last night I kept the stress test for a full 1 hour. The maximum temperature was 65 degrees Celsius. That's somewhat of good news. As all I need is to try and reduce the temps by a few degrees and the problem will be resolved. I think that...

AMD FX-8370 + Be Quiet! Pure Rock. Temps exceeding 60 degrees Celsius in 2 minutes stress testing. Is this normal?

Yeah I am aware that in most normal and computer gaming use the temps won't go that high. I believe that it may be related to the poorly uneven thermal paste. As the heatsink was constantly moving. I had difficulty installing the cooler as it required the long metal part to be clipped in between...
