Seagate Unveils Its Third Generation SSHDs

PheruleHybrid drive? Yes please.8GB? Yeah.. no. We'll try again next year. Or not. Time for full-blown SSD I think.8GB is pathetic Seagate, and you're pathetic for even considering going so low. Why not judge it based on performance, rather than based on how much flash you think they should have...

    I5-3570k gold 'pins' scratched....

That doesn't matter - if it was sold as a functional processor and it isn't functional, the sale was fradulent and you should get your money back.

Samsung Announces March 14 Unveiling For Galaxy S4

redeemerI just hope Samsung does away with the cheap shiny plastics and AMOLED! Why do you want them to do away with AMOLED? It's one of the nicest screen technologies in existence at the moment, and one of the main reasons I'm likely to get an S4.

Apple CEO Tim Cook Says OLED Displays are Awful

master_chenSomething tells me that he mistook shitty AMOLED for OLED, lol. It's a common mistake in the ranks of retarded noobs (98% of which make regular Apple's consumer base). Basically all current OLED screens are AMOLED. You don't know what you're talking about here.

    Intel core 2 duo replacement

Sorry, but chances are you won't be able to replace the CPU easily (if at all), and any replacement won't be worth the effort and cost. Generally, when it comes to laptops, you're pretty much stuck with the components the laptop originally came with except for the hard drive and RAM.

    Disable ht vs disable core

Even in a hot environment, a stock speed Sandy Bridge really shouldn't overheat. I would double check that it is mounted properly.

    Disable ht vs disable core

It really shouldn't overheat, even with the stock heatsink. Are you sure the heatsink is mounted correctly? That's what I would check first...

    120hz Monitors. Futureproof? Help!!

(I'll assume that you meant to type "games aren't built in 4k") Games aren't made for a specific resolution. They are rendered by your graphics card at whatever resolution you want. Higher resolution means you will see more texture detail out to a farther draw distance, and edges will be...

    120hz Monitors. Futureproof? Help!!

A lot of people overestimate the importance of the response time - 8ms is fine (though $35k for a monitor is a bit steep...). As for driving a game at 4k? Sure, you'd need a high-end graphics setup to do it, but given how well current games run on 2560x1600, most would still do fine at 4k. A...

    120hz Monitors. Futureproof? Help!!

That's fair enough, and I will say that I'm more referring to the $1k-$3k price range (basically where current, top end 30 inchers have been for some time), not the >>$3k range. I purchased a Dell U3011 a few years ago for $1500 or so, for example, and I don't see myself replacing it until I can...

    120hz Monitors. Futureproof? Help!!

In some ways, I see them as more relevant than processors or graphics cards approaching a thousand dollars (and I say that as the owner of both a >$1k monitor, and a fairly high end GPU/CPU setup). GPUs and CPUs are obsolete relatively quickly, while a high-quality monitor lasts a long time, and...
