The GTX 1070 in my PC is already showing signs that it needs replacement soon (Or I might've messed up the driver update installation when I hard booted my PC because the black screen was taking a while so it crashed). I've been meaning to replace this GPU but I wanted to see how long it will...
UPDATE: Ok, so I used the DOCP Profile but what happened is that it just turned off a few times trying to POST until it went to the "American Megatrends" setup screen due to "instability". Had to set the DOCP Profile to Default so it would POST properly.
FYI, my CPU's Ryzen 7 3700x.
I currently have 2 sticks of G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x8 (F4-3800C16-8GTZN 8GB ) for a total of 16GB. I was planning on turning on XMP/DOCP but I'm scared because I actually don't know what to do.
Instead, I'm planning on "manually" changing my speed to the sweet spot of 3200Mhz because Ryzen 7...
Hi y'all. I'm planning to install Windows 10 on my old PC using a new SSD. The thing is the old PC's boot drive is using an HDD.
The HDD has '2' partitions. 1st partition is for the OS and 2nd is for the storage.
I want to keep the files from the 2nd partition but delete only the OS files from...
So I built a new PC last November 1 and been using it every day. I have this issue where Windows 10 is randomly freezing when idle. I think it happened twice now and I only have Discord, Spotify, and Edge opened with a few tabs and windows open.
The behavior is that the windows can't be...
I currently have an APC Back-UPS 1100VA (specifically, BX1100L-MS) and I was wondering if it's safe to place it in the desk? Specifically near the monitor or PC? Or should I just put it under the desk?
Additionally, how can I check compatible batteries for my UPS? I'm planning to buy a CSB...
Hi! I've been having issues for quite a while now when turning on my PC but I'm not quite sure which one's the problem. What I thought was that my secondary HDD drive was causing boot issues because it was failing so I replaced it with a 2.5 SSD Samsung 870 QVO 1TB (See thread: Question - How do...
I have an old Acer Aspire 4315 which is just gathering dust on my shelf right now and I'm planning on repurposing it by installing a Linux Distro or ChromeOS . This laptop was bought back in 2008. Wayyy back when I was a kid.
I don't think that I can upgrade the CPU (Intel Celeron M Processor...
My secondary storage hard drive is at 30% health and may have been causing POST issues on my PC now. Windows 10 is installed on a Samsung 860 Evo 500gb SSD.
I've migrated some of my files on the cloud and I'll just download the files since I have a reliable internet connection.
How do I go...
I'll try cleaning up the PC tomorrow and connect-reconnect the cables. But I'm really worried why every time I boot up, it always prompts to Scan and Repair my SSD for some reason. It doesn't take a while and goes to the homescreen immediately. It didn't happen before.
I'm confused. I think both of my drives are failing and my boot drive (SSD) is still 98% health but the HDD is 30% health (the PC is 7 years old now I think).
My issue right now is that my PC sometimes fails to boot up (the GPU was running but the rest won't.) so I had to powercycle for like...
