I have laptop with a i7 7820hk and it will never go over high 80s to low 90s while stressed tested at 4.4ghz but when gaming it drops to 3.2ghz or lower at like 95-100 degrees is there a reason the gaming is much hotter and has such low speed over all with the lowest core voltage offset I can do?

At this point I'll just buy a new cooler any suggestions?

Took a part my r9 290 to clean it due to high temps in the 90s and to repaste. When I took it a part I was careful with pulling the connector off but I guess the wire was already loose/short. How do I fix this? I'm not very intelligent with this kind of things can't find a answer anywhere else...
