Do you have the memory on the 3080ti overclocked? When i first got my 3080 every time i went over like 500 on the memory i got a huge drop in fps. Ampere memory either locks up or continues to ask for the information over and over which can drastically hurt fps.

I have a few times after a bios update that my cores would not speed up. But first what power plan are you using in windows make sure its on high performance.

Depending on your motherboard it usually has a setting like asus has a fan controller it will just raise the temp it will allow the cpu to run at to leave the fan quite. it will leave the fan quiet even at the slightly higher temp.

For mine when i was using the stock fan unless i had the case fan on the side on the temps went through the roof. As soon as i got air goning across the vrms it dramatically improved. Heres hoping for you . Also running my voltage at just under 1.39 really seem to stop dramatic rises over 75.

You have the best cpu for gaming from that socket I believe the 870 would not be worth upgradin to even though its slightly faster.

It will be absolutely fine especially if you go higher resolution which hopefully you will be in the next 3 years. By the time you hit 4k all the high end chips have parity.

That's awesome on the 4.4 all core overclock, I am barley able to hit over 4.3. I have been running it pretty sustained at 1.387 and have yet to see anything negative voltage related.

Save a little more and sell your current parts aside from the case and the drives and psu. Then do yourself a favor and get an i5-8400 or ryzen 2600 and a decent mobo and your gtx 1060. It will give you great cpu power for the future. Do not invest any money in an fx system.

I have the asus strix 1080 ti and with no over clocking it goes well over 2000 so as long as its cool enough it will get there. I have zero coil whine.
