I am looking into getting a MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G GeForce My only question is can i leave it overclocked for a long period of time (2-8 hours) without causing damage to the GPU or anything else in the system?

Well lets say i go with the MSI 970 wouldnt i need a higher power supply to overclock it? Since i am only getting a 550w.
