Question Computer won't write to USB flash drive but other household computers can ?

Hello, For some reason my Windows 11 PC won't write to a usb flash drive. I've tried all the internet solutions and to no avail. It just keeps saying the drive is write protected. I've used new drives, old drives, formatted them everything. If I try them on another PC there is no issue so it...

Question Computer reboots when playing Fortnite. Using GTX750ti

I should also add that my two other sons have similar PCs running Nvidia GT 1030 cards and have no rebooting problems. The 750 ti has higher performance from what I understand. All three experience lag when playing but maybe my internet connection can't handle 3-4 people playing at once plus...

I'm hoping someone can help me diagnose a problem with my son's computer. When he tries to play Fortnite is randomly reboots several times per day. The event log says it's Kernel Power Error with Event ID 41. The minidump file says the following: ------------------ VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116)...

Surface connects to networks but never internet access

My wife's Windows Surface was recently upgraded to Windows 10. More recently she's lost the ability to get internet. The device connects to any and all wifi networks but it's always "no internet access". Even my cellphone tethering yields the same result. I've google this to no end and found...

Bought new C Drive! How to replace it while retaining the master boot record in Windows 7?

hmmm, I was looking forward to a fresh install. I'm worried about simply unplugging my old drive because I don't think I'll be able to boot up the comp. I'll try it and see what happens.

Bought new C Drive! How to replace it while retaining the master boot record in Windows 7?

I'm going to upgrade my C drive from my current Samsung 240GB SSD to an Intel 480GB SSD. I'm looking to avoid this problem: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1644912/change-master-slave-bios-removed-drive-boot-anymore-drive.html The last time I simply removed the drive and thought I could...

My unused sotage drive keeps filling up and I don't know why

Hello, I have a Core i5-2500k setup using Windows 7. I run a Samsung 240GB SSD as my C: drive and I have a Seagate 2TB as my D: Drive. I also have an older Seagate 1TB as a G: drive but I generally don't use it. For some reason my G: drive keeps filling up! If I clear some space (like 1GB)...

Whcih is faster: Intel RST or simply using a full SSD for your OS?

aaaah that' snot what I wanted to hear. I also need to install Word, Excel and Photoshop. I might attempt it anyways and will let you guys know how it goes. Still looking for answer to weather a full SSD is better than a Intel RST + HDD setup. I would imagine it is.

Whcih is faster: Intel RST or simply using a full SSD for your OS?

Well it came with Win 8 secure boot so I have to do all sorts of crap just to get into the bios but you can't "boot" off the SSD because Win 8 came installed on the HDD. I ordered a new Win 7 CD from newegg and I plan to install it. It's 20GB so I'm hoping it's enough for a clean non-ASUS...

Whcih is faster: Intel RST or simply using a full SSD for your OS?

My laptop came with a mini SSD that uses Intel RST in addition to the standard hard disk. If I wipe everything, would I get better performance installing my OS in its entirety on the SSD? Am I correct in assuming the RST is just a way to augment a standard hard drive's performance with a tiny...
