I downloaded the drivers from the manufacturer website. Everything shows as working within device manager. It is also correctly set within playback devices. I brought it to the head IT guy at my company and it stomped him as well.

I am having an audio problem. I get no audio output from the laptop speakers or plugged in earphones. But bluetooth works. I tried updating drivers to no avail and everything else I could think of... which wasn't much. Any thoughts?

When I uninstalled and deleted the 3.0 drivers, native drivers were automatically installed when I restart but they apparently don't work. The show in the bios but nothing happens when I plug anything into the port. I guess I will need that hub.

I wonder if I use a usb hub or something to install and then plug it in will it work? Hmmm..

I've successfully installed this cable on a couple other laptops with similar operating system setup. The only difference is that they both have 2.0 ports. Both my ports are 3.0... right now I'm trying to figure out how to stop the drivers from re-installing themselves.

I have a K+Dcan usb serial converter cable. The ft232r chipset doesn't work with usb 3.0.

I seen some places where people just uninstalled the 3.0 drivers and it reverted to 2.0 every time I uninstall the drivers they just reinstall themselves after I restart. How do I stop this. I chose the universal option to not download from windows... apparently that didn't work. Dell XPS 14

I installed Xubuntu 13 to the HDD. I want to partiion off part of the HDD to install windows. I've installed 3 apps (Disks, Gpartition, and KDE partition) but I can't actually find any of them in the apps list. Any other app I install I can actually find. What am I doing wrong?
