Question Curious four beep issue - Asus

Well I still don't really know what the issue was. I re-seated my GPU and my RAM and also reset BIOS and I was finally able to get back to it without the beep error. It might have had something to do with the automatic over-clock I started in BIOS, but again - if there was an issue there why...

Question Curious four beep issue - Asus

Hrm. When I click the link it just takes me to the registration page (and yes, I do have a registered Asus account). NVM. Got it to work (the link that is). I'll recheck (for like a third time) to make sure all the fans are plugged in in the right area, but I'm fairly certain everything is...

Question Curious four beep issue - Asus

Hey everyone. I've noticed something off with my computer since I upgraded. So everything works fine, boots up to Windows and everything...except I can't enter BIOS. Every time I try (after tapping delete or F2) I get one long beep followed by two short beeps. The screen stays black until it...

[SOLVED] Windows 10 recovery disk - is it all I need?

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I was aware of creating backups, but I didn't know if (assuming I was starting fresh) Windows would be looking for some kind of required, missing Windows 7 files or not. I haven't done a fresh install for a few years and had my recovery disk when I did.

[SOLVED] Windows 10 recovery disk - is it all I need?

Hey guys, so I got to wondering if using just a Windows 10 home edition recovery disk on my computer that I originally installed with Windows 7 home (and took free upgrade) would work if I was trying to do a fresh install. The problem is, I lost my original Windows 7 disk so I got a little...

    [SOLVED] Ryzen 5 3600X vs Ryzen 7 3700x - worth the leap?

Thanks for your advice, man. One thing I've noticed though is the difference between the B540 and X570 mobos. I know the 540's are compatible with 3rd gen Ryzens after a bios update, but what about PCIe 4.0 compatibility? Max RAM speeds? Would it be un-necessary to just spend the extra money on...

    [SOLVED] Ryzen 5 3600X vs Ryzen 7 3700x - worth the leap?

I'm debating about making a change from my current Intel i5 6600/ DDR4 2133 / GTX 1070 setup to a Ryzen rig. But first, some background: I mainly game and watch videos on my PC. I don't do any video editing, encoding, or anything like that. I also like to game at the highest and smoothest I can...

    [SOLVED] i7 7700 - worth the money?

If I did have another back plate somewhere it's long gone by now lol. 12 bucks isn't bad. Selling is a good idea. I might even know some people in person who might be interested. It's something to think about. As for Ryzen...I was doing some research and it seems that even the 7 series fails in...

    [SOLVED] i7 7700 - worth the money?

GTX 1070. I mean..I get pretty good performance out of a lot of games, even on ultra settings. Thing is, I've noticed some games tend to be more CPU heavy. I think Division 2 is like that, which is why I get a lot stuttering even at medium-high settings.

    [SOLVED] i7 7700 - worth the money?

Yeah I've noticed used CPU's are a lot cheaper, but I am extremely hesitant about buying a used one. Certain things, like really sensitive electronics, are something I'd really prefer buying new. As for Ryzen....it's something to think about. I'd have to completely re-educate myself with AMD's...

    [SOLVED] i7 7700 - worth the money?

Hey guys. For a while I've been wanting to upgrade my CPU, without having to also buy a new motherboard (stuck with LGA1151 right now). I currently have the i5 6600 and I've noticed it's held me back in some areas with the more demanding games (ie: Division 2). The one I"d REALLY like to have is...
