    lol at the ones saying gtx 970 is performing better than 290x, 290x has better performance period, but it uses more wattage and produce more heat. I heard some of the hawaii gigabytes get defects though, check newegg for reviews

    sorry I was wrong, there IS a compability issue with modern cards (PCIE 3.0 supported natively) running on PCIE 1.0/1.1, so yes, you might need to upgrade your motherboard.... google up 7750 pcie 1.0 of you can something positive

    if you get the non K you dont need Z chipset motherboard. So if you get the i5 you can use the H97. For gaming, the difference between i5 and i7 is little. Only games that support and use multi-threading will benefit from i7, for example CryEngine (dead?) and Frostbite Engine, for other games...

    best? R9 295X2 for sure, thats 1500$ though. Please list the requirements. What price range? And do you plan to use your current PSU? and what is it? if you dont want to use a PCIE connector, get a 750/750ti, it is the best 75w graphics card

    driver/compability issues, Did you install the GPU driver from the disk? get the latest driver from AMD web, and also try to get all avaiable patches/unofficial patches from steam workshop/skyrim nexus. 60 C is very fine, I think pitcairn can handle more than 90c cmiiw

    BOTH MSI and sapphire coolers are great, especially sapphire because they are AMD exclusive brand, so maybe they have better experience than MSI, but MSI Twin Frozr is also a great cooler too

    4670k vs 4690k, with z97x sli for gaming

    the only advantages 4690k has are higher base clock and can slighty overclock higher, the architecture is completely the same. hope that helps

    r9 280 is better, it's on par with GTX 760, GTX 660 is much slower than r9 280
