Sounds like your laptop is having trouble getting DHCP. 169.xxx.xxx.xxx is what’s called an APIPA address, and is only assigned when the computer can’t get a connection to a DHCP server. Hello! I recently had a problem with my newly built PC. There is 100% disk usage on startup because of "antimalware service executable" and "system" any help to fix this is much help. I have disabled superfetch and windows search already.

After I let my computer sit for a while it normalizes back to 0-5%, but within the first 5min of turning it on, anything I open, shoots the percentage back up to 100%. I'm used to mac, and I loved it because I never had these problems.
