Question Are there any downsides to this HP PC ?

Depends the game. But you won't have much fun playing any recent AAA games on it. Mostly older games will run okish, probably. Maybe it's best to tell us what exactly you expect from your system (what kind of games at what monitor resolution, has to be sff?, etc) and your budget, so people can...

Question Are there any downsides to this HP PC ?

I am not sure if this question is serious... ?! The computer you refer to is a business machine and as such just enough to do basic office work. It is clearly not a Gaming machine. And being a "Mini" you will have a hard time upgrading it. The CPU is an entry level CPU of a few years back, so...

Question Help me choose a Laptop for occasional use whilst traveling (Graphic Design, Photoshop) ?

Check the Asus Vivobook Pro Series with OLED screen for Graphic Design. They are sometimes on sale for under 1000 bucks for older models. Be sure to take the ones with OLED screen. Those are made with Designers and Content Creators in mind and the screens are quite good with great colour...

Question Is it possible to connect an NVMe SSD to SATA ?

Maybe your Windows (10? 11?) installation is broken. Try a reinstall and be sure your Windows ISO is from the proper source. But from the little info you gave, it might be completely unrelated to the installation. Are you sure it's not booting at all? Maybe the screen has some minor damage. You...

Question Is it possible to connect an NVMe SSD to SATA ?

The biggest perceived performance boost you will get by replacing the HDD to a SATA-SSD on that said laptop. That is really all I would do here ;)

Question Is it possible to connect an NVMe SSD to SATA ?

Windows and Browsing you won't notice it much. In Gaming it is noticable though. But depends the game. That said, the perceived difference from a 5200rpm HDD to a SATA-SSD is bigger than from a SATA-SSD to NVMe-SSD. The latter is not as obvious.

News Der8auer admits he 'messed up' with underperforming Thermal Grizzly Heatspreaders and Direct Die coolers

To fully understand the name you would need to be German. Der Bauer means something like farmer/peasant/person that owns land and has livestock or crop. It can also be used as a slightly offensive word, for someone of low intelect or someone of the working class, but often in a more mocking way...

Question Is this a bad psu or what?

Be aware that Sandy Bridge cpu shouldn't be over 70 degrees Celsius under load. Newer CPUs run with up to 100 but the older ones don't.

Question Is this a bad psu or what?

    Did you check temperatures yet?

Question Is this a bad psu or what?

You would need to test all components individually. Easiest component to test is the GPU, since you can easily swap the cables to the monitor and connect it to the motherboard instead and disconnect the card from the mainboard. If it's still happening, you know its not the GPU. The other...

Question Easiest way to get data off an old M.2 NVMe SSD to put into a new PC ?

Actually it's a bad idea to use an old Windows-Installation on a new system. With a new computer, best you can do is reinstall everything. That is for correct registries and drivers belonging to the correct hardware, etc. Steam usually saves all your game-info and saves online. So reinstalling...

Question Can I install Windows 11 with an AMD Phenom II X2 521 ?

It will most likely work. From what I heard many people install Windows on unsupported Hardware. For now MS does not shut them out and I do not know of cases where there were significant issues. But you never know if MS changes something in one upcoming Update. It might suddenly stop working...

Question Is it possible to connect an NVMe SSD to SATA ?

SATA-SSD will indeed "make a huge difference". Not only is the transfer speed much faster than the 5200rpm HDD, but also the (lets call it) reaction time. Your HDD has to start spinning, the SSD is immediately ready to use. About using an NVMe drive. You could maybe use it with an USB 3.1 or...

Build Advice I would like to know if this new build seems good and is able to run okay ?

Looks good. But for gaming the GPU is most important. If you can fit in a better one somehow you could benefit. Both alternative options above would already improve your gaming performance. And a thing to note, Raytracing and DLSS are 2 things that Nvidia does better than AMD.

Build Advice I would like to know if this new build seems good and is able to run okay ?

Sure it works, but the big question what's it gonna be used for?
