Had visual artifacts when my card reached over 100º, due to ATITool screwing up control of the fan speed, leaving it at what seemed to be 0%/shut off. Mine were more like small bits scraping out of some icons and images, inside Windows. You could tell it was no longer rendering the screen...

On second thought, maybe it's normal after all. Any high bandwidth technology immediately suffers when it deals with multiple file transfers. In this case, Windows is loading tons of small files and drivers. Dunno why it has such an effect on latency as to make it take time between each file...
