I have connected my security DVR via Ethernet to my router. When I log into the router it sees it as an unknown Ethernet device and it has an IP. Neither of my PC's, wireless desktop (Win7), and laptop (Win10) can see it on the network. Both PC's can ping the DVR. The DVR uses Media Port 9000...

It seems to complete the load (you see the progress bar complete and there is a message that it is loading. Then you get the blue screen. I have no other pc to test the 7 dvd in except my Dell laptop and I don't want to take a chance on hosing it.

Cd didnt work in desktop pc. Threw it in my laptop and rebooted and it worked. Let it run all night and it said it was fine, PHEW! So went into bios on desktop and it is not recognizing the dvd. Went in and replugged the connections on dvd (after all I was in there to reseat the mem) and now...

Nothing. Installed it and burnt to cd. Put in PC, rebooted and nothing. Maybe I'm not selecting the right file. I'm selecting the iso file inside the iso folder, NOT the Zip file I downloaded.

I've burned tons of cd's making backups before. Never had to burn an image so it was bootable. Don't have a clue. Have Free Easy Burner and Sonic. Also have something called iso to usb which was freeware.

when I unzip the file it creates a folder with two files in it. One the .iso the other the readme file. When I dbl-click the .iso it opens WinZip again and displays 2 folders and 4 files. There is never an option to burn an image--just opens WinZip. Also, laptop is XP. Sooooooo, now what . . .
