Hey guys! I just upgraded from an i5 8600k to an i9 9900k. Now while gaming it will randomly restart. If I try to benchmark it, the pc restarts as soon as the load starts. My current build is: i9 9900k Asrock z370 Extreme 4(Updated Bios to 4.2 on i5. On the Asrock CPU support list it says 4.1...

Haha thanks man! I'll just see how the mobo works first. This thing hasn't really let me down until the past 2 weeks or so. And thats why I decided to buy a new heatsink, which did nothing. But now that I know the mobo is the problem, hopefully all is well! :) I appreciate all the responses...

I have a LEPA MX1 and they advertise 600w, but from what I've been reading they only output 500.. I actually got this rig off of NewEgg as a supercombo years ago and haven't had issues with it until recently. My friends bringing the Mobo later on today so I'll see how it runs off of that...

I won't begin to act like I know anything about computers except taking them apart and putting them together. So like I said I appreciate the responses. What turbo said about Intel makes complete sense. But I'm still waiting until tomorrow for my buddies mobo to see what kind of performance...

I'm confused as to why the i3's perform better than the i5's? Just saw your edit. I think I'm just going to go with the i5, GA B 150 MOBO, and DDR4 memory and try to pawn off my current build on someone else! haha. I can spend probably around 300-350, and as a reminder I already got MSI...

I have a friend who has a MSI 970A SLI Krait Edition AM3+ AMD 970 & SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX AMD Motherboard. Will this improve my performance? I'm sorry, I can't justify switching to intel! That's like 1k investment when I feel like this processor can compete.
