    You can attach the cables with your SSD and put it somewhere at the empty space in the cabinet. I did this many times, nothing worry about this. But check it properly may you have slot to for holding SSD OR HDD there you can do that.

    Yeah. I've gotten bitten by the Samsung drives too. 980 Pro, I believe. Died in a couple days. I simply don't buy Samsung any more. I paid extra for the name, to not have to worry about it.
