I might be wrong, correct me if I am but try a power supply tester that you can buy cheaply from ebay to see if its ok or not with a "load" on the power supply like a HDD or something connected to the power supply.

Yes the Bios is version 1.3 but the PCB version is 1.02 I ended up buying an E6850 Conroe CPU I just have to wait for it to be posted, I asked about the Q6600 as I had this in a different motherboard but it can stay in it and I will use the Conroe CPU thanks for all your help Boju

It looks like I cant use wolfdale but am I right about using a Conroe CPU like the E6850?

I spotted something in the manual that says to use a yorkfield and wolfdale CPU, The CPU with "*" mark are only supported with PCB version 1.03 or above I think I have version 1.02 can I still use an E8600 CPU?
