Most likely won't be beat until 10nm++ in 2020 (if Intel delivers). 10nm equipment are compatible with 7nm. They're not skipping 10nm because they feel it has a ton of untapped potential.

What? 10nm parts are Cannonlake (and Tremont), while 14nm++ parts are Coffee Lake. That's a significant difference.

Don't even look at Threadripper for gaming. At all. As for streaming and gaming, if you're looking for pretty high streaming quality settings, I'd recommend the 7900X. It actually streams better than the 1950X, and provides much higher frame rates. Otherwise, get any new CPU.

Intel Optane Memory technology is not supported by Pentiums. You would need to get an i3 at the least. Go for an i3-8100 and an H310 motherboard.
