Where are you getting the 18mb/s number from? For internet connection, 54mb/s is plenty fast. You might benefit from the 300mb/s if you are connecting to other computers in your house and want to transfer large files.

My new build has a Rosewill RNX-N300X wireless adapter with 3 antenna. It's getting really crappy reception, much worse than my Rosewill RNX-G1, which is a cheap USB adapter with only 1 antenna. I'm a little surprised by this, I thought the 3 antennas would be at least as good, if not better...

You know, it's not an altogether bad idea. Just because your case is outside on the balcony, there's no reason why you couldn't run the keyboard, monitor and mouse inside and stay comfortable.

I also like to watch videos in the privacy of my bedroom... :D I'm not sure if you can disconnect the LED on one of those fans, but it is easy to replace the fan with a non-LED fan. Fans are super cheap.

I'm building a system with a P67 motherboard and planning on getting an i5-2400 processor and some DDR3-1600 memory. Looking at this chart: wikipedia chart, it says the i5-2400 only supports up to DDR3-1333. What does that mean? Will the DDR3-1600 memory still work, just at 1333 speeds?
