Have tried AIDA64 and this is the result: Played whilst gaming today and this what I got for it: Honestly might just go and downgrade to a 3600 as I doubt I can fit a bigger cooler on the 3700x due to space issues. Such a shame but I don't know what else to do.

Will try those two programs :) The problem is I have found in the past that Ryzenmaster and HWMonitor report different temperatures, sometimes very different ones so I question reliability. Will look into the coolers :) any suggestions at all? I'm pretty clueless! Thankyou :)

I was thinking about changing my RAM frequency in the BIOS but after doing some research, I came across this article which suggested there was too much risk/ hassle involved with changing the frequency (from my understanding at least). I was just wondering if this would still be the case, given...

Stock cooler. I changed the fan settings in BIOS so not so much of sudden jumps, but still erratic and noisy. Downloaded Ryzen Master and temps are different on it compared to HWMonitor (temps on Ryzen Master are lower) but it still also jump randomly.

As per title, I believe the idle temperatures are too high. It goes between 45 degrees and 65 degrees but typically is around 55 degrees. The fans will also just randomly start running quicker for no apparent reason. This is a new CPU installed today after previously having a 2600 so not sure...

But then you get the case where it overheats more (when plugged in) and then throttles the performance because of that. This happens with mine.

Strange. Have you tried the HDD with another computer? If you plug in a USB, does that show up as a boot option at all?

That's strange. Is it even recognising the HDD? Have you tried removing the SSD as an option?

Make sure to add it as an input device :) sometimes it doesn't do it automatically
