Why don't you just format the drive and install windows? Migrating the windows from drive to another is not exactly easy and most of time is not done properly.

That's the main reason I downgraded back to Win 7 because I was sick of repairing win 8 or trying to anyway. In the end, I had to format and reinstall. After few times of doing that, I just downgraded and since then I've never had a problem with win. I am afraid you might have to do the same...

Depends which R7. Some will work fine, 260 and 260X will not. Requires a 6 pin which your psu doesn't have and even if you get an adapter, I wouldn't risk it.

Depends how much you want to spend. If you have the money for 270X or GTX760, go for it. One thing I would be careful about is the PSU and what SSD you want to get. You need a decent PSU like XFX, Seasonic, Superflower, Corsair, etc and for SSD I would suggest Samsung. I bought dozens and not...

What do you mean by missing? You didn't connect the 8 pin from the PSU? Then clearly your card doesn't receive enough "juice" and that's why you have this problem.

Have you checked the temps?

Not necessary higher but a proper PSU like Seasonic, XFX, Superflower, etc.
