The memory issue was simply a marketing issue. They advertised the wrong amount of VRAM and other specs. The benchmarks are real and the performance of the card hasnt changed.

If you havent installed the drivers I would suggest that. what games are you playing that you are noticing the frame dropping and sluggish performance? Also, is your GPU constantly at 100% usage even when not playing a game? Have you made sure the PCIe lane isnt set to a slower speed in BIOS?

Is your GPU at maximum usage even without playing a game? What PCIe slot is the GPU in? Make sure it is in the top slot.

I dont think there are any home-brew capable flash cards for the 3ds. After the rampant piracy issues on the DS, nintendo really locked down the 3DS. It took something like 4 years for someone to even alter the boot sequence and load from an SD card, and this was all patched out weeks later.

I cant even think of any piece of hardware that has appreciated in value, especially in the days of mass production. It's not like a classic car that you can still drive or an old gun you can still shoot. Once technology becomes old and antiquated, it basically loses all it's value.

chances are the OEM made the tray to be used without standoffs for more efficient installation. if the raised areas are on the tray then you should be fine. I thought you were saying the OEM motherboard had some sort of pre-installed standoff.

I wouldnt try. If I recall correctly, they are to prevent shorts from the motherboard tray to the motherboard. I had a friend that fried his motherboard because he didnt install the standoffs.

Have you guys ever considered working with Carbon Fiber (or even fake carbon fiber)? Its a material that I havent seen on any computer cases and I think it would look really sleek.

A 120hz monitor isnt "needed, but the 970 can certainly pull 120 FPS in a lot of titles at 1080p. If you can afford it, go for it. Just be warned that not all games have the ability to support refresh rates greater than 60hz and others will require some tweaking to get it working.

What kind of GPU do you have? Is it plugged properly into the Power Supply?

Leave your front and side fans to intake. Hot air rises, so the side fan will keep cool air coming in to cool the GPUs and the 2 large top fans will keep the hot air moving upwards and out of the case. Having the side fan as exhaust will mean its fighting with the GPUs for air.
