    Update: Problem does not occur in safemode. Transfer speed is fine in safe mode.

    I think that fixed the issue possibly. I turned off power management for usb devices in device manager. However, when the computer is writing files to the microsd card when the computer is locked, the speed gets lower. After signing into computer again, the speed is normal.

    I have done a cloning before from an HDD to a Samsung 840 EVO SSD. I did not have to do anything else.

    I am using a syncing software called Syncbackfree. Whenever I open the program, it fails to respond (crashes). In the taskbar, there are about 41 instances of the program open. There should only be one instance. How do I solve this problem?

    if you have the computer model, go to your manufacturers website on another working computer. download the appropriate driver. put the driver software on a usb. Put the usb into your non-working laptop. run software.
