Question Nvidia Update killed Intel GPU controlled Display 2?

This is all I can get it to do... it sees the monitor connected, but keeps saying its not active. View: https://imgur.com/1oU5cWl I just ran through DDU and ripped out nvidia, and intel gpu drivers, and it STILL wont come back. I have no idea what the problem is. Why did an nvidia driver...

Question Nvidia Update killed Intel GPU controlled Display 2?

So I though I would update my nvidia drivers today to 528.02 for my main monitor. After it was done, my second monitor (which is connected to the iGPU DP on the motherboard), went black. Display 1: ASUS VG27BQ (via DisplayPort) Display 2: ASUS VG248QE (via DisplayPort) I go into System ->...

[SOLVED] How do I set a subfolder on a drive for the Windows Backup destination?

I've got one machine with a Macrium license on it, and it does perform much nicer in terms of backups. I thought I would just 'get away with' a basic backup of some folders and sys image on a couple lesser machines (and the machine the raid sits in itself). As you both say ... "fussy, and pita"...

[SOLVED] How do I set a subfolder on a drive for the Windows Backup destination?

(using Windows 10 home) Windows Backup only lets me pick a local drive "E:" (not a sub folder on E), then it spews garbage at the root level of drive E. I would much rather it go into "E:/Backups/[this machines name]/" ... because this local drive is a Raid that is being used by all my machines...

[SOLVED] AVerMedia A188 AverTV card will not show up in device manager

Success. After noticing that I could get 'a generic something' to show up in the Device Manager by plugging the tuner card into one of the two "GPU" (8x, 16x) slots on the board.... I thought maybe I can force some drivers for that generic device. I knew the old ASUS machine that it works on...

[SOLVED] AVerMedia A188 AverTV card will not show up in device manager

I'm not seeing anything named bifurcation in the manual/bios... ??? I was thinking of sending in a ticket on their support form, but they dont list the A188 AverTV card at all as a choice, and their form required a choice, without any 'other' or 'not listed' choice! LOL :(

[SOLVED] AVerMedia A188 AverTV card will not show up in device manager

So on a hunch, I decided to try and stick the TV tuner card into my brand new board.... an MSI Z690A Pro ... to see if it shows up. No dice. Starting to think this old pcie1x card is not got the right whatnots internally to make it behave on anything remotely new (even though a 7 year old...

[SOLVED] AVerMedia A188 AverTV card will not show up in device manager

Ok, spent two hours this morning trying every combination of the "PEG0" "PEG1" settings of "Auto" "Gen 1" "Gen 2" "Gen 3", and also the "PCI Latency Timer" ranging from 32 to 288. Even hopped around the PCIe slots again trying different settings. Even took OUT my M2 SSD (thinking maybe it...

[SOLVED] AVerMedia A188 AverTV card will not show up in device manager

Thats..... interesting. I did come across something in the BIOS about latency, but it was set to the smallest number (which I would assume is the slowest). I will check more at that setting and try the biggest number tomorrow when I dive back into troubleshooting the issue. Thanks for the tip!

[SOLVED] AVerMedia A188 AverTV card will not show up in device manager

I've had this old AVerMedia A188 HD Duet in my older HTPC for years, and its worked just fine, recording OTA HD to SageTV. However I've got spare parts to build a better HTPC (old parts but newer), and transferred the AVerMedia to it to use. It won't show up in device manager, so I cannot even...

[SOLVED] Corsair DDR5 ram throwing lots of memtest errors ...

Took the board back ... MicroCenter didn't have anymore of the ASUS Prime Z690-P boards, so we discussed an alternative, and I came home with an MSI Pro Z690-A for the same cost. Been running both Corsair sticks in slots A2/B2, and its not thrown a single error in two full passes thus far...

[SOLVED] Corsair DDR5 ram throwing lots of memtest errors ...

Stick 2 in slot 4 produced no errors for a full pass. Put stick 2 in slot 1, about a thousand errors in the first few seconds. Put stick 2 in slot 3, cleared a full pass, no errors. Put stick 1 in slot 1, memtest wouldnt even get past "Measuring cpu/cache/mem speed..."... Put stick 1 in slot 4...

[SOLVED] Corsair DDR5 ram throwing lots of memtest errors ...

Uhm.... is this the sign of something borked with the ram, or maybe memtest doesnt work right with ddr5 (doubt the latter)? Concerned, since this isnt even in XMP mode, this is running at far lower than what its rated for. https://imgur.com/m34iSxu (since i cant add images here) CORSAIR...
