What is the setup like inside your case? Does the graphics card fan point towards the CPU? And what application are you using to measure temperature in your game? A picture or two would help.

I use IntelBurnTest, run at maximum load for 10 tries and that seems to work, takes less time too. I would recommend installing that instead of using Prime95, it's more demanding as well so you can be more confident that you are safe with your CPU temps. The few times I have run prime95 have...

Those temps are fine, if you can stay at 70C on prime95 you don't need to worry.

770 is more than sufficient.

Removing them from SLI would make them function nearly independently. The Performance would be the same as using just one card. The SLI scaling is to blame, but don't worry too much about it.
