Its a healthy whooshing sound but very load, sounds like a jet warming up its engines. Checked the fans they are totally clear. The card is beautifully quiet when not under load but like a jet when gaming??????
I'd 2nd that...a non recognized or budget brand of psu will state a much higher max wattage than they are actually capable of...this could be the cause?!
New gpu: gainward 560ti golden sample, old: Asus 4870 dark knight. Both play bf4 on med settings but the 560 at much better frame rates.
The 4870 however hardly made any noise while playing this but the 560ti is very noisy in comparison. Should it be very noisy in comparison or could there be...
Just completed a new build...all plugged in excitedly pressed the power button...nothing!
The only possible explanation could be that i have only a 4pin power cable in the 8pin slot!? Yet i still expected something to happen when the power button was pressed.
Do you think the mobo is faulty...
Thanks all! Ghost great minds...after all your advice I have started a new build...this is what I have purchased so far:
AMD FX 6300
Gigabyte 970a DS3
and 4gb crucial ballistics 1866mhz ram (couldnt afford another stick yet?
Will get another 4gb stick soon then Radeon 6870
would you suggest...
I keep going round in circles with this decision. I wan to play BF4 high res in 1080p with a decent frame rate. Both my GPU and CPU need updating but i can only really afford to upgrade one.
Will having a better CPU, mobo and ram improve my gaming performance?
...or should I upgrade my GPU...
