I would just like to thank everyone in this thread, especially the one who posted and the selected answer, for leading me to the solution in my case. in my setup, what happened was, i connected a 4 port PWM hub to the CPU_OPT 4-pin MOBO connector. The 2 AIO rad fans were connected to the fan...

    overclocking question- fx-8350

why is it that he's getting 1.45v+ for a relatively low OC? something must be wrong and that definitely causes higher temp due to higher power input. What's your motherboard by the way?

easily. You might get worried about temps when you go past 4.6Ghz.

    overclocking question- fx-8350

I am currently OCed at 4.5Ghz and I let the board control the voltage automatically. The max voltage reading on CPU-Z is 1.36v. I'm wondering why you're getting 1.4v+.

Razer Deathadder 2013 No sensor light effect

Hi everyone. I just bought a Razer Deathadder 2013 and it doesn't have the usual sensor light effects. I know that it doesn't affect functionality since the real laser sensor beam is invisible to the human eye. But I would like to know if this mouse really doesn't have the red/blue light effects...

Could someone REALLY explain a PCIe slot to me?

The PCIE slot is a communication port between whatever kind of card you put on that slot and the rest of the components such as processor, RAM, hard drives, etc... But nowadays, PCIE slot is primarily used for Graphic cards. so it's the communication between graphic card and the rest of the...

FX 4100 with ASUS HD 7790 Direct CU II OC 1 GB?

bottlenecking is overrated. bottleneck does not necessarily mean imbalance. And bottleneck does not necessarily mean all of your components will suffer from degraded performance. bottleneck means one of your components is not being fully utilized for its full potential (usually between CPU and...

Minimum possible graphics card for playing the xb one and ps4 games

Believe me, i used to play WOT on 8-25 fps. And there's little to non-noticeable effect now that i'm playing at 55-60 fps. But I don't regret the upgrade. It still feels good to have a "modern" build.

    Overclocking my FX8120

First, that Zalman performs below par compared to let's say noctua NH-D14 (most probably because of lesser heatpipes and fins). Others would actually consider the Zalman as mediocre. Second, Bulldozers are known for high temps. Third, overclocking it by 0.8 Ghz would definitely produce more...

    Are SSDs worth it.

Paging file is important depending on available RAM and the application being used. So turning off Paging File is not always a good idea. I'm not sure if you still need Paging File with 16GB/32GB RAM. Although, I noticed that even at 16GB RAM, Windows will still use the Paging File. The reason...

    Are SSDs worth it.

As you know, Windows OS keeps on writing a lot of temp files every now and then. Also, if you use the SSD for Paging File, then there's gonna be a lot of writing on your SSD too. The most you can do to lessen writes is keep your personal files, media files, installers, drivers, etc on a data...

Is this a good gaming build?

The major difference is that standard ATX has more PCIE slots. I'm not sure about other ports that were streamlined. But features-wise, they are basically the same.
