Can those be viewed real time with a computer? I accidentally gave you a negative 1. Not sure what that means but negative usually isn't good. Not very good with tomshardware site yet

Sorry if this has been asked before but I am unsure the terms and way to word the question. I have a grain auger outside I want to have a camera pointed at all the time to moniter from a computer. I do not need to have any recording and I have no problem running wires. Wireless is not preferable...

I second that. Just for giggles when I built my uncle his computer I took my cooler off my 5820k and put the 212 on there and it kept that cool and quiet when it wasn't over clocked and that's a lot hotter cpu than you'll have.

As long as it gets good airflow and your cpu isn't over clocked much you will be fine. I have a 5820k and a 980ti g1 gaming in my rvz02 and the gpu temp is the same as it was in my evolve atx. My cpu went up but I went from water cooling to a narrow 2011-3 server cooler.

You asked why go skylake and I gave you a reason. Maybe in the future he can justify going to a i7 and getting the 6700k. Skylake also supports ddr4 memory speeds. I'm not saying haswells no good but skylake is newer and better. I have two haswell cpus and there great.

The 1150 socket is dead. Intel wont be making any new cpu's for that socket. Skylake will offer better upgrades in the future.

The Cas could be the reason or one could possibly be on sale as long as your sure the the exact same kit other than speed and cas.

I would save up and buy the most expensive parts you can realistically afford. Buying the i3 then the i5 a year later only costs more in the end. You can get a 950 for not much more and get much better performance.
