Very nice, but I don't need to spend that much money and it will likely be very bright in the dark. I frequently fall asleep i the living room where it will be placed.

I mean I changed from the RCN gateway to the modem & router. I haven't switched out the router yet, but I will when I make a decision.

It works, but the appearance bothers me (I'm a very shallow person). And yes, I know where to place them. It isn't a matter of money b/c I just made the change and can still return the router to Amazon.
